Spelt Grain Berries

Spelt Flour can be substituted for whole-wheat flour in most recipes, simply use a bit less liquid or more flour when substituting spelt in recipes calling for wheat. Although Spelt contains gluten, many people with gluten intolerance or wheat allergies can tolerate it. Spelt is a primitive relative to the wheat grown today and has found its niche in the human food industry as a substitute for wheat or other gluten containing grains.
